Safe Haven Family Shelter will receive our Share the Plate contribution in May. Safe Haven addresses family homelessness with proactive programs, evidence based practices and trauma informed care. Safe Haven is the only shelter-to-housing program of its kind in Middle Tennessee that accepts the entire homeless family, keeping the family together and providing comprehensive services that empower them to achieve lasting self-sufficiency. http://safehaven.org/

Our own Lisa Dordal was asked to give the homily at an Anti-Bullying Legislative Prayer Breakfast on March 12, and she delivered a powerful message to a gathering of clergy, legislators, and others. Many thanks to Lisa and the others who worked on this effort. The “Don’t Say Gay” bill has been quietly moved to the back burner and we hope it dies there.
