  • Passover Seder, Friday, April 2
    FUUN Social Area: 5:45 p.m. Great food, wine, music, and a compelling story are the elements that make up the Passover Seder.  The food is the best of Jewish cooking – a dinner including a vegetarian option – cooked with love by Victoria Raschke.  The wine and grape juice are sweet and ceremonial, the story tells about the Israelites flight from bondage in Egypt to freedom.  The music is bluegrass (more ....)

  • Contributions to the Osu Children's Home in Accra, Ghana
    Last year I had the opportunity to travel to Accra, Ghana with my new son-in-law Gunnar and my daughter Leslie. I discussed with Marguerite Mills an idea about a service project with our children's religious education program for an orphanage there. She connected me with the Pass the Chalice program. Thanks to all the help from volunteers and our children we made 40 books to take to the Osu Children's (more ....)

    Cooking Class begins at 5 p.m.; Dinner served at 7:30 p.m. Tickets on sale March 7 and 14 after both services. Still riding a wave of boeuf bourguignon-scented inspiration from a recent viewing of "Julie and Julia"? Or wishing for Paris in the spring but looking out the window at Nashville in the winter?   • Sanctuary Artist to Speak on Buddhism and Thangka Painting, Wednesdays, March 10 and 17, at 7 p.m.
    A thangka is a painting with embroidery, usually depicting a Buddhist deity or mandala. Nashville painter Phurba Namgay, who grew up in Bhutan, practices this style of art. Several of his pieces will be on display in the FUUN sanctuary starting in late February. Namgay and his wife Linda Leaming will also lead two adult religious education sessions in March.     Grieving the loss of a pet due to death or separation? Free, ongoing public support group meets first Monday of the month starting March 1 in the Fireside Room from 7-8:30 p.m. For more info contact Nancy Keeler (contact information in church directory).
  • Fellowship Activity Ideas - FUUN for UUs
    The Fellowship Committee needs your help with organizing the activities mentioned below for our UU community. We are currently recruiting members and friends or frequent visitors who are willing to organize ONE of these activities, depending on your interest.   • Just a Little of Your Time for Room in the Inn
    As the leaves begin to turn for the fall and squirrels store nuts in preparation, there are those among us who need a little extra help for the coming season.
