FUUN Newsletter Procedures

The newsletter is published monthly. The deadline to submit articles is the preceding Tuesday (eight days prior to publication). For a list of submission deadlines and publication dates, please contact the newsletter editor at newsletter@firstuunashville.org.

Before the deadline:

The coordinating text editor sends out a reminder email to frequent contributors. All submissions are acknowledged with a return email by an editor.

Tuesday (deadline) through Friday:

The text editor on duty reviews and edits articles, corresponds with contributors as needed, and combines text into a Word document.

The editor on duty then sends the complete Word document to the following:

  • Text editors
  • Design editor
  • Comm Comm chairs
  • Web team
  • FUUN office staff

Friday through Monday:

The design editor formats the text.

Monday:

The design editor sends the draft pdf file for a final review by the church administrator.

Tuesday:

The design editor sends the completed pdf file to the church office for printing and mailing.

Tuesday or Wednesday:

The completed pdf file is uploaded to the church website by a member of the web team or the church administrator. The design editor notifies the church office to send a church-wide announcement email about the newly uploaded newsletter.
